Offering Support for Well Siblings
Charna’s Kids Club was established by the Charna Radbell Foundation at the New York–Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in 2007. This therapeutic and recreational support program for school-aged siblings of seriously ill patients represents a key component of the hospital’s vision and mission ... a commitment to Family Centered Care. This philosophy acknowledges that when a child is sick the whole family hurts. We are so proud to have been given the opportunity to fulfill such a need, and to date, we have helped thousands of patients, their siblings and their entire families each year.
What People are Saying
“I get very emotional. I sometimes come to check on my grandchildren in The Club and it calms me, too.”
“You go out there, and it is so different in the rest of the hospital. Then, you enter the siblings’ room, and it has music, and color, and children’s voices and dancing. It is like a breath of fresh air.”
“This is MY program.”
